After a 5 years hiatus, Alessandro Pizzin & Alessandro Monti are back with a very special musical project born from the ashes of the WIND COLLECTORS project but finally focused on their most wanted and more recent sound perspectives.
The music featured on this brand new musical adventure has been carefully selected and developed within the last few months at Another Green World private Home Studio in Venice firmland.
... is this a new direction?
Alieno deBootes (Summer 2020)
"During the last 10 months I've been hospitalized 4 times, although I never lost my sense of humor the experience surely affected my lifestyle and musical views.
One of the best surprises while still at the hospital was Alieno's friendly msg: it led to a welcome reunion.
We immediately started to resume a project still left in a limbo: it quickly became our first duo album micro culture.
Although the original concept started differently years before, in recent times we both realized we had so much new music that we even forgot about the existence of some pieces!
Most of them were almost complete and they only needed some remixing and editing (Night Of The Big Planes, Aros, Another Gentle Step), others were created anew using some pre-existing improvisations or unfinished material (Draco Galore, Phase Shifter).
I played with Alieno for years in different combinations and line-ups: unlike this writer, he keeps every single take and improvisation, thank god he's a natural born archivist and a brilliant arranger.
Through the years we seemed to handle effortlessly all kinds of music in our sessions: from rock to pop, from funk to ambient, from experimental to surrealist stuff... that's really amazing.
It's hard to believe that most of these musical dialogues were created spontaneously without preconceived ideas, sometimes with minimal basic structures, sometimes without even knowing which key we were playing!
We both think that this telepathic approach gave some surprising results. In some ways this duo project started at high school back in 70's, and now at sixty we can finally release an album together with a brand new technology.
This collaboration is something else: certainly about sound and research, but also about a long-time friendship and respect; plus we both know that true human art is always about patience and faith.
Welcome to our new direction ..."
